Pest Control TechnicianAbout Black Pearl Pest Control Black Pearl Pest Control is a family-owned and operated pest management company based in Mesa, Arizona. We provide safe, effective, and environmentally responsible pest solutions for residential and commercial customers throughout Arizona. Our services include general pest control, termite treatments, weed control, rodent management, and specialized bird and wildlife exclusion. We have developed a particular specialty in protecting solar panel installations by preventing birds, rodents, and other pests from nesting underneath and around solar arrays. We are growing our team and looking for a dependable, motivated, and customer-focused Pest Control Technician to join us. Position Overview The Pest Control Technician is responsible for providing professional pest management services to residential and commercial customers. This includes inspecting properties, identifying pest activity, applying appropriate treatments, performing preventative services, and educating customers on ways to protect their property. Technicians may also perform bird and wildlife exclusion services, including installing protective barriers and deterrents around rooftops and solar panel systems. No prior pest control experience is required. We are willing to train the right candidate. Key Responsibilities Perform thorough inspections of residential and commercial properties to identify signs of insects, rodents, termites, birds, and other pest activity. Determine appropriate treatment and prevention methods based on the pest issue and property conditions. Apply pesticides, baits, traps, and other pest management products safely and according to label requirements. Perform routine and preventative pest control services for residential and commercial customers. Assist with termite, rodent, weed control, and other specialized pest management services. Install and maintain bird and wildlife exclusion systems, including mesh, netting, spikes, barriers, and other approved deterrents. Service rooftops and solar panel installations to prevent birds and other animals from nesting underneath or around solar panels. Work safely on ladders, rooftops, and at heights when performing exclusion and pest control services. Communicate clearly with customers regarding pest activity, services performed, prevention recommendations, and follow-up needs. Provide professional, friendly, and respectful customer service at every appointment. Maintain accurate records of inspections, treatments, materials used, and customer interactions. Safely operate and maintain company vehicles, equipment, tools, and protective gear. Maintain a clean and professional appearance while representing Black Pearl Pest Control. Follow all company safety procedures, pesticide-label requirements, EPA guidelines, and applicable Arizona regulations. Complete required training and work toward obtaining/maintaining applicable pest control certifications. Qualifications Required Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. High school diploma or equivalent. Strong work ethic and willingness to learn. Reliable and punctual with the ability to manage scheduled appointments. Comfortable working outdoors in Arizona's heat and varying weather conditions. Comfortable working on ladders and rooftops and at heights. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including bending, kneeling, climbing, reaching, and standing for extended periods. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work. Professional, friendly demeanor and strong customer service skills. Ability to work independently while also being a positive member of a team.
