We are looking for a licensed pest control technician who is experienced in dealing with a number of different pests, knows how to do rodent proofing, and likes to sell. We are very busy and have more work than we can handle. Before I get into all the details about this position, let me tell you a little about what is going on here. We've got a pest control company that has been in business for over 21 years, and our focus has always been on offering services that are superior to what is commonly found in the market place. We are not the "low priced" guys who only spend ten minutes at a house. We only do thorough and detailed work. Here's what you must be able to do in order to be considered for a tech position. You must have a current Branch 2 field rep license and have a minimum of two years of experience. A good record of previous employment is required (no job hoppers!). You must have a good driving record and a valid driver's license. Must be fluent in English, write legibly, read a map, add numbers, be small enough to fit into a crawl space, lift 20 lbs., enjoy working with clients, measure fluids, have a nice smile, be bondable, submit to random and scheduled drug tests. The right person will have experience dealing with rodent control, bee control, bed bugs, gophers, and numerous other pest problems. Rodent control will be a big part of the job, so being able to work with your hands to do repairs is very important. You will be expected to sell these services, and to continue building our business. Regular attendance is critical. Some Saturday work will be required. Starting pay will be $20 to $24 per hour. But, the truth is you could end up earning much more than that if you are extremely sharp and highly motivated.
