Job Description

Stevenson Pest Control is a locally owned and operated pest control company serving Yuba City, Marysville, and the surrounding Yuba-Sutter area. We are looking for a dependable, energetic, and customer-friendly individual to join our team as a Pest Control Route Technician . This position will begin part-time at approximately 30 hours per week (about 6 hours per day) , with a strong opportunity to grow into a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position as the route continues to grow . This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently, being outdoors, interacting with customers, and taking pride in doing quality work. Pest control experience is preferred, but not required. We are willing to train the right person. What We Offer $22-$25 per hour , depending on experience and qualifications Approximately 30 hours per week to start , with strong potential to grow into a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position Paid, hands-on training Company-paid costs associated with obtaining the required California Structural Pest Control Board Applicator License Company work truck provided for performing the route and commuting to and from work Company work truck may be taken home between scheduled shifts ; personal use is not permitted Company cell phone provided for work use Primarily local routes throughout the Yuba City/Marysville area The independence of managing a daily route while still being part of a small, locally owned company Schedule Approximately 6 hours per day / 30 hours per week to start Primarily weekday route work Saturday availability is required for periodically scheduled gopher-control work. Training will be provided. Opportunity for the position to grow to approximately 40 hours per week as the route expands Responsibilities Perform scheduled pest control services at residential and commercial properties Inspect properties for pest activity and conditions that may contribute to pest problems Apply pesticides and other pest-control products safely and effectively using proper application techniques and Integrated Pest Management (IPM) practices Follow product labels, safety procedures, company policies, and applicable state regulations regarding pesticide use, handling, storage, and application Properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE) and respiratory protection when applicable Safely operate hand tools, pest-control application equipment, and ladders when required Operate a company service vehicle responsibly and follow all traffic laws and company driving and safety requirements Travel between scheduled customer locations throughout the assigned route in a timely and responsible manner Communicate professionally with customers regarding pest activity, treatments performed, safety considerations, recommendations, and follow-up service Use a company-provided smartphone and mobile field-service application to access daily schedules, routes, customer information, service history, and other job-related information Accurately complete service records and required documentation through the company's mobile application Complete and leave service notifications for customers documenting the date of service and pest-control products applied Process customer payments when necessary through the company's secure mobile payment system Handle customer and payment information professionally and confidentially Maintain company equipment and the assigned service vehicle in a clean and professional condition Represent Stevenson Pest Control professionally and provide friendly, dependable customer service Qualifications Pest control experience preferred, but not required — we will train the right candidate Valid California driver's license with a driving record acceptable to our commercial auto insurance carrier Dependable, responsible, and punctual Strong customer-service and communication skills Comfortable working independently and managing a daily service route Comfortable driving a company service vehicle throughout the workday Comfortable using a smartphone and learning mobile applications for scheduling, routing, customer records, service documentation, and payment processing Able and willing to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including California summer heat Comfortable safely using ladders and working at appropriate elevated heights when required Able to safely handle pest-control equipment and products after receiving proper training Willing to learn California pesticide regulations, application procedures, safety requirements, and Integrated Pest Management practices Able to meet the requirements necessary to obtain a California Structural Pest Control Board Applicator License Available for periodically scheduled Saturday work as needed Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening and verification of driving eligibility through our commercial auto insurance carrier. Pay:
