Our client, the County Abatement Division, is seeking dependable field technicians to identify, treat, and prevent mosquito and pest activity throughout the community. These are full-time seasonal/long-term positions with paid training and licensing provided.

Pay:

Starting at $17.50/hour, with a pay increase upon licensing

Schedule:

Day shift. Mosquito Control works four 10-hour days, Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday. Pest Control works Monday-Friday. What You'll Do Identify mosquito breeding sites, pest activity, and target species Inspect standing water, drains, ponds, ditches, containers, and other areas for mosquito larvae and pest activity Set and check traps Safely mix and apply larvicides, pesticides, and rodenticides according to labels, SDS instructions, and regulations Document treatment locations, products used, and results Monitor treatment effectiveness and re-treat areas as needed Operate sprayers, application equipment, hand tools, mobile devices, and GPS Maintain equipment, vehicles, and work areas Navigate outdoor environments and complete field assignments Perform pest removal as needed Communicate with the public about mosquito and pest prevention Safely operate County vehicles Perform other related duties as assigned What You'll Need Valid driver's license with a good driving record and at least two years of driving history Ability to obtain a pest-control license within 30 days of hire Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds Basic math skills and ability to follow chemical labels, SDS information, regulations, and work orders Comfortable using mobile devices and GPS Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to pass a drug screening and background check

Pay:

From $17.50 per hour Expected hours: 32.0 - 40.0 per week
