Wildlife Control & Property Services Technician Ares Wildlife is hiring a dependable, experienced technician to join our growing team. We provide wildlife control, exclusion, property repairs, and related services throughout Missouri and Kansas, primarily serving the Kansas City metro area. This is a hands-on field position. Applicants should be comfortable working independently, climbing ladders, working on roofs, entering attics and crawlspaces, and working outdoors in different weather conditions.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

Applicants must have previous experience in at least one of the following: Roofing Wildlife removal/control Pest control Experience in construction, handyman work, restoration, or property maintenance is also a plus.

VEHICLE REQUIREMENT

You must have your own reliable pickup truck or similar vehicle that can safely carry an extension ladder, tools, and materials. Ares Wildlife does not currently provide company vehicles, so reliable transportation suitable for field work is required.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities may include: Inspecting homes and properties for wildlife activity, entry points, and damage Wildlife trapping and removal Setting and checking traps Identifying how animals are entering structures Installing exclusion materials to prevent animals from returning Sealing entry points around roofs, soffits, fascia, vents, siding, foundations, and other areas Performing minor exterior and roof repairs related to wildlife damage Working from extension ladders and accessing roofs Inspecting attics and crawlspaces Taking before-and-after photos and documenting completed work Communicating job findings and completed work with management Keeping tools, equipment, and work areas organized Communicating professionally with homeowners, tenants, property managers, and other customers

QUALIFICATIONS

Previous roofing, wildlife control, or pest control experience Reliable pickup truck or suitable work vehicle Valid driver's license Comfortable working on roofs and extension ladders Comfortable entering attics, crawlspaces, and confined or dirty areas Able to lift and carry ladders, tools, equipment, and materials Dependable and able to arrive at scheduled jobs on time Good communication and customer service skills Able to follow instructions and company procedures Willing to learn new skills and techniques Able to work independently and troubleshoot problems in the field Professional appearance and behavior while representing Ares Wildlife

PAY & ADVANCEMENT

Starting pay is based on experience, skills, and qualifications. We are willing to offer higher starting pay for candidates with significant wildlife control, pest control, roofing, construction, or related field experience. New employees will begin with a probationary period so we can evaluate reliability, quality of work, safety, productivity, customer service, and overall job performance. Pay increases may be available after successful completion of the probationary period based on demonstrated skills, performance, reliability, experience, and the ability to complete jobs independently. Employees who demonstrate strong performance, reliability, and the ability to take on additional responsibilities will have opportunities for increased pay and growth within Ares Wildlife. Gas Stipend available as you will use your own vehicle at least 80% of the time.

We are looking for someone who is hardworking, mechanically inclined, dependable, and takes pride in doing the job correctly. Wildlife work often requires problem-solving. We need someone who can inspect a property, determine how an animal is getting inside, and help develop and complete a permanent solution rather than simply treating the immediate problem.
