Misting System Technician We're recruiting A-level team players to join a team of other A players who work hard, do excellent work, and are excited to be part of a growing company. United Mosquito & Fly Control is a family-owned Kansas City company with more than 20 years of success. A major part of our business is installing and servicing custom fly-control systems in horse barns and other equestrian facilities . We're looking for A-level team players — people who work at exceptionally high standards independently, support their team, are mechanically minded, and thrive when they spend the day working outside rather than behind a desk. What You'll Do Travel to equestrian properties and high-end residences throughout the Kansas City area and surrounding regions Install custom designed insect-control misting systems in barns, in residential yards, and other settings Assess and refill existing insect-control misting systems Perform maintenance and seasonal service to the systems on a route Perform other pest-control services as needed Talk with customers and provide outstanding service every single time Be part of a small but growing team of dedicated people who work independently to high standards We'll Teach You! Previous pest control experience or equestrian experience is helpful, but not required. It's much more important that you are an A player, and that you know how to work on a team of other A players. Here's who we're looking for: An A-level team player — your current boss and co-workers are really going to miss you You work safely, especially when it comes to driving, using ladders, and working with pesticides You don't just get the job done every day, you get it done so well that you're proud of it You care not just about how your work functions but also about how it looks when it's done — a picky customer is going to be happy with it You're mechanically inclined and very comfortable using tools You don't mind carrying and climbing ladders You're happy working around horses and other animals You work independently and solve problems, but you'll ask questions when you need to You're fine getting dirty, dusty, and working outdoors You're friendly and professional with customers And of course, you're a safe driver with a clean driving record and a clean criminal background check Experience in maintenance, agriculture, construction, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, landscaping, or other hands-on work is helpful, but not required.
