This position combines wildlife removal, pest control, construction-related exclusion work, and customer service. Compensation $16.00 per hour during the training period After successfully completing training, transition to a $35,000 annual salary 5% production bonus on every completed job performed Additional 5% commission on jobs you sell that are approved and completed Training We provide paid, hands-on training designed to prepare you for success.
Training includes:
Wildlife removal techniques Wildlife exclusion and repair work Pest control services Customer service Safety procedures Company operations Training typically lasts 1-3 months, depending on experience, performance, and demonstrated proficiency.
Upon successful completion of training:
Transition to salary plus bonuses and commissions Receive an assigned company vehicle Benefits Company vehicle provided after training Fuel provided for company vehicle Company uniforms provided Paid Time Off (PTO) after eligibility requirements are met Ongoing training and opportunities for career advancement Responsibilities Inspect residential and commercial properties for wildlife activity Humanely trap and remove nuisance wildlife in compliance with Mississippi regulations Install exclusion materials including hardware cloth, sheet metal, vent covers, sealants, and other wildlife-proofing products Perform minor construction and repair work related to wildlife exclusion Document inspections, recommendations, and completed work Communicate professionally with customers regarding findings and service recommendations Safely operate company vehicles and equipment Maintain tools, equipment, and an organized work environment Follow all company safety policies and state wildlife regulations Qualifications Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to pass a background check Ability to lift 50+ pounds Comfortable working on roofs, ladders, in attics, crawlspaces, and other confined spaces Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to obtain and maintain all required licenses and permits Licensing Requirements Mississippi Wildlife Control Operator (WCO) Permit Mississippi Hunting & Fishing License Mississippi Pest Control License (required as training progresses and position advances) Equipment Critter Control of Hattiesburg provides all tools and equipment necessary to perform job duties. Employees are expected to properly care for company-issued equipment and promptly report any lost or damaged items. Schedule Full-time Monday through Friday Occasional weekend work as needed Preferred Experience Experience in wildlife control, pest control, construction, roofing, trapping, or related trades is preferred but not required.
