G.A.R Trapping is a growing wildlife control company dedicated to providing humane and effective solutions for nuisance wildlife issues. We specialize in trapping, removal, exclusion, and prevention services for residential and commercial clients. We are committed to protecting properties while ensuring the ethical and responsible handling of wildlife.​ Are you looking for an exciting and dynamic career working outdoors and making a real difference in your community? G.A.R Trapping is seeking a motivated and hardworking individual to join our team as an Entry-Level Wildlife Control Technician.​In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and effective trapping, removal, and relocation or exclusion of various wildlife species. You will work directly with clients, assess wildlife situations, set and monitor traps, perform basic exclusion work, and provide excellent customer service. This is a hands-on position that requires a strong work ethic, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to animal welfare.​
Key Responsibilities:
​ Conduct property inspections to identify wildlife entry points and activity. ​Set, monitor, and maintain humane traps according to company protocols and state regulations.​Safely and humanely remove trapped wildlife.​Perform minor exclusion work to prevent future wildlife entry (e.g., sealing small openings, repairing screens).​Communicate effectively with clients, explaining procedures, setting expectations, and providing updates.​Maintain accurate records of services performed, trap locations, and wildlife captured.​Adhere to all safety guidelines and company policies.​Maintain company vehicles and equipment in good working order.​
Qualifications:
​ Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.​Must have significant scheduling flexibility, as wildlife issues can arise at any time, requiring early mornings, evenings, weekends, and occasional on-call availability.​Willingness to obtain a State Wildlife Nuisance Control Operator Permit (or equivalent, specific to Ohio if applicable): The company will facilitate and cover the cost of obtaining this required certification upon hire.​Ability to work independently and manage a daily route efficiently.​Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.​Excellent communication and customer service skills.​Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions and in confined spaces (attics, crawl spaces).​Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as climbing ladders, bending, and kneeling.​A strong commitment to humane wildlife handling and ethical practices.​Prior experience in pest control, animal handling, construction, or a related field is a plus but not required - we are willing to train the right candidate! ​
