Job Description

- Elam's Pest Control located in Goose Creek, a family owned and operated business is looking for a Pest Control Technician, preferably South Carolina licensed.
Primary responsibilities:
Spray chemical solutions and powders on or near surfaces of a building or house to eliminate pests . Identify invading pests , including rats, termites, snakes, wasps, ants, spiders, mosquitos, or bed bugs. Set traps and place bait. Follow route from office and fill out provided paperwork for customer records. Must possess physical stamina and be able to withstand harsh conditions as the nature of the job requires standing for a long period of time and working in an uncomfortable environment, to include climbing into attics, crawling underneath houses into crawl spaces, possibly coming into contact with snakes, spiders, and other wild life animals. Must have a clean-cut appearance, and follow company guidelines for company uniform. Must be detailed oriented and be able to follow detailed instructions in applying pesticide to avoid harm to the client and self. Must possess good customer service skills and be customer focused. Strong ability to keep good records of hours worked, chemicals used, and payment collected Must be able to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues, and possess good interpersonal skills Must have good time management skills. Must be trustworthy as duties are mostly discharged without the physical presence of the client, in customer's home...background check must not have felonies for theft especially and must not have a criminal record. We will be conducting a background check, all of our employees are thoroughly screened and have an understanding of their duty to the company and our customers. Must be very knowledgeable about a wide variety of pests, and be up-to-date with current industrial practice. Must have clean driving record due to company's insurance, technician will be expected to drive company truck and a clean driving record is required. Do not apply if you do not have a valid drivers license Pest Control Technicians must follow South Carolina law: If you apply restricted use pesticides, or if you apply any pesticide in Categories 3, 5, 7a, 7b, or 8 to another person's property as part of your job and/or for compensation, you are a Commercial Applicator and must be licensed in the state of South Carolina.Commercial:
