WHO WE ARE

Home & Hive is a locally owned, family-run pest control and honeybee removal company based in Celina, TX. We started in 2014 specializing in professional live honeybee removal and later expanded into residential pest control. Today, we take care of customers throughout Celina, Prosper, Frisco, McKinney and surrounding communities. We're growing, and we're looking for the right person to grow with us. We're not a national franchise or a high-volume pest company where technicians are expected to rush through as many houses as possible each day. We believe in doing things thoroughly, taking care of our customers, and giving our technicians the time and tools they need to do the job right. We're a small team. The owners are involved in the business every day, your work gets noticed, and the person we hire for this position has a real opportunity to take on more responsibility as Home & Hive grows.

MORE THAN JUST PEST CONTROL

Your primary responsibility will be taking care of our recurring residential pest control customers. But Home & Hive is a little different from your typical pest control company. We started as a live honeybee removal company in 2014 , and honeybee removal is still an important part of what we do today. While bee work is not a requirement for this position , we're always excited to find someone who's interested in learning that side of the business. No bee experience is needed. We'll train you. If you're interested, you'll have the opportunity to work alongside our experienced bee removal team and learn everything from swarm removals and bee repellent services to removing established colonies from walls, soffits, roofs and other structures. It's a unique skill set that most pest control technicians never get the opportunity to learn, and it can open the door to additional responsibilities as you grow with Home & Hive. You'll also have opportunities to learn rodent exclusion, mosquito control and termite work along the way.

Pest control experience is preferred, but we're willing to train the right person. THE HONEST PICTURE OF THIS JOB

This is physical, outdoor work in North Texas. Summer is hot. Winter mornings are cold. You'll spend a lot of your day outside and on your feet and need to lift 50 lbs regularly. You'll carry equipment, apply pest control products, sweep and de-web eaves, inspect homes, work around attics and garages, communicate with homeowners and maintain detailed service records. Honeybee and exclusion work can also involve ladders, roofs, attics and occasionally opening portions of a structure to access a colony or pest entry point. If you enjoy working independently, being outdoors, solving problems and seeing the results of your work at the end of the day, you'll enjoy this position.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

You'll take ownership of a residential pest control route primarily in Celina, Prosper, Frisco, McKinney and surrounding areas.

Your responsibilities will include:

Performing scheduled residential pest control services Treating ants, spiders, roaches, scorpions, wasps and other common pests Inspecting for rodent activity and maintaining exterior rodent bait stations Applying exterior liquid and granular treatments De-webbing eaves, windows, doors and patios Treating weep holes and other potential pest entry points Performing interior treatments when requested Identifying rodent and pest entry points Explaining findings and recommendations to homeowners Keeping accurate service notes and documentation Keeping your company truck, equipment and uniform clean and professional Following product labels and company safety procedures As you are trained, you'll also have opportunities to assist with: Live honeybee removals Honeybee swarm removals Rodent exclusion Mosquito control Termite treatments

HOW WE'LL TRAIN YOU

We don't expect you to know the Home & Hive way on your first day. You'll spend your first several weeks working alongside our team learning our routes, customers, products, equipment and service standards. You'll gradually begin performing more of the service yourself until you're ready to take ownership of your own route. We'll continue supporting you as you become independent, and we'll provide additional training for honeybee removal and other specialty services based on your experience, abilities and interests. If licensing or additional certifications are needed, we'll help you work toward them.

We don't believe great pest control comes from racing through someone's property. Owners who are actually involved. You'll work directly with the people who own and operate the company. Customers you get to know. We want our technicians to build relationships with their customers and take ownership of their routes. A chance to learn something different. Professional live honeybee removal isn't something you'll find at most pest control companies. We'll teach you. Room to grow. Home & Hive is growing. As we add customers, technicians and services, there will be opportunities for the right person to take on additional responsibility and eventually move into leadership.
