This position will be responsible for providing professional pest management services to commercial customers while maintaining the highest standards of safety, documentation, customer service, and regulatory compliance. Experience working in food processing facilities, food manufacturing plants, commercial kitchens, restaurants, warehouses, or other audited facilities is a major plus. Candidates with experience working in environments subject to SQF, BRCGS, FDA, USDA, HACCP, or similar food-safety and third-party audit requirements are strongly encouraged to apply. Position Summary The Commercial Pest Control Technician will inspect commercial properties, identify pest activity and potential entry points, perform appropriate pest management services, document findings, and communicate recommendations to customers. The ideal candidate understands that commercial pest control is about more than simply treating for pests. It requires attention to detail, accurate documentation, consistent service, and the ability to work within strict customer and regulatory requirements. Key ResponsibilitiesCommercial Pest Control Services Perform scheduled pest control services at commercial customer locations. Inspect facilities for evidence of pest activity, harborage areas, conducive conditions, and potential entry points. Identify and appropriately treat for insects, rodents, and other common commercial pests. Install, inspect, service, and maintain traps, monitors, bait stations, and other pest management devices. Perform interior and exterior treatments in accordance with label requirements and company procedures. Recommend corrective actions to eliminate conditions contributing to pest activity. Respond to customer service calls, pest sightings, and other service requests. Maintain professional relationships with customers and facility personnel. Complete all assigned routes and services accurately and on schedule. Food Processing & Audited Facilities Provide pest management services in food processing, manufacturing, restaurant, and commercial kitchen environments. Follow strict sanitation, food-safety, and facility-specific procedures. Maintain accurate pest control documentation and service records. Understand the importance of pest trend monitoring and prevention in food-related environments. Work within customer requirements for inspections, documentation, chemical usage, and pest-control devices. Maintain service standards necessary to support successful customer audits. Communicate pest activity and corrective-action recommendations to designated customer contacts. Follow applicable FDA, USDA, HACCP, SQF, BRCGS, and other facility-specific requirements when applicable. Documentation & Compliance Accurately document services performed, pest activity, findings, recommendations, and corrective actions. Maintain required pesticide application records. Follow all pesticide labels, safety requirements, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Maintain required Texas pest control licensing and certifications. Properly handle, transport, store, and apply pesticides and pest management products. Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked service vehicles and equipment. Follow company safety policies and customer-specific safety requirements. Customer Service Communicate professionally with customers and facility personnel. Explain pest findings, treatments, and recommendations clearly. Respond promptly and professionally to customer concerns. Identify opportunities to improve pest prevention and customer satisfaction. Represent Ideal Partners Pest Control in a professional manner at every customer location. Qualifications Previous commercial pest control experience preferred. Experience working in food processing facilities, food manufacturing, commercial kitchens, restaurants, or audited facilities is highly preferred. Knowledge of commercial pest management practices. Understanding of rodent and insect identification and control methods. Ability to accurately complete service documentation. Strong attention to detail. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently while following established procedures. Ability to work in commercial and industrial environments. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Ability to obtain or maintain required Texas pest control licensing and certifications. Ability to work in commercial, industrial, and food-processing environments. Ability to work in varying temperatures and conditions. Ability to safely lift and carry pest control equipment and supplies. Ability to access areas such as mechanical rooms, storage areas, loading docks, rooftops, crawl spaces, and other service areas when required.
