Mosquito Joe of Charlottesville & Central Virginia is looking for a dependable, motivated, and customer-focused Part-Time Pest Control Technician to join our growing team. At Mosquito Joe, we're dedicated to helping families and businesses enjoy outdoor spaces by providing effective mosquito, tick, flea, and perimeter pest control services. No pest control experience? No problem. We provide comprehensive paid training and will help qualified candidates obtain the required state certifications in as little as a week. What You'll Do As a Pest Control Technician, you'll spend your days outdoors servicing residential and commercial properties throughout Central Virginia. Responsibilities Perform mosquito, tick, flea, and perimeter pest control treatments on residential and commercial properties Inspect properties and identify conditions that may contribute to pest activity Apply treatments safely and effectively using backpack sprayers, power equipment, and other application tools Educate customers about mosquito & tick prevention, pest management, and ways to reduce pest pressure around their property Communicate professionally with customers before, during, and after services Maintain accurate service records using company software and mobile applications Drive company vehicles safely between service locations Follow all company, state, and federal safety guidelines Assist with special event treatments, stinging insect services, and other seasonal pest control offerings as needed Represent the Mosquito Joe brand with professionalism, positivity, and excellent customer service What We're Looking ForPreferred Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to pass a background check Ability to work independently while managing a daily route Strong communication and customer service skills Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly Experience in pest control, landscaping, lawn care, agriculture, construction, outdoor labor, or customer service is a plus but not required Physical Requirements Frequent walking across uneven terrain Lifting and carrying equipment weighing up to 50 pounds Repeated bending, kneeling, and standing Working outdoors during warm summer conditions Driving throughout Charlottesville and Central Virginia Why Work at Mosquito Joe?
