Whether you're an experienced pest professional looking for a better long-term home or interested in building a career in the industry, we'd like to talk with you. We're locally owned and serve Western Washington with longstanding residential and commercial customer relationships and a reputation built on taking care of our customers and our people. As part of the Fikes Family of Companies, our technicians benefit from the resources, stability and opportunities of a larger organization while still working for a local team that knows its employees and customers. Why Join Our Team?
Year-round stability:
Established recurring routes and a diverse residential and commercial customer base help provide consistent work throughout the seasons. A company that takes care of its people: We're proud of our reputation for treating employees with the same care and respect we expect them to show our customers. Ask our longtime team members what it's like to work here—we believe how we treat people is one of the best reasons to join and stay with our company. Strong leadership & experienced team: Work alongside engaged field leadership and a tenured team of experienced, knowledgeable pest professionals who are available to support you in the field.
More ways to earn:
Competitive hourly pay plus sales commissions, route-production incentives and additional performance-based opportunities. Established customers & routes: Service longstanding accounts and established routes throughout the Puget Sound rather than constantly starting from scratch.
Local ownership:
Work for a locally owned and operated organization with deep roots in the communities we serve.
Start and finish from home:
North Sound technicians typically take their company vehicle home when they have a safe place to park it and begin and end their workday in the field. Technicians generally visit our Federal Way headquarters only about once per month, with supplies, training and supervisor support routinely coordinated in the field.
Opportunity to advance:
We're growing and believe in advancement based on performance, initiative, skills and leadership potential. Training & development: Pest experience is preferred, but we'll train the right person and provide ongoing support to develop technical skills and advance their career. Company vehicle, equipment & tools: We provide what you need to successfully manage your route. What You'll Do As a Pest Control Technician, you'll manage an established route while building strong relationships with your customers.
Responsibilities include:
Inspect residential and commercial properties to identify pest activity and contributing conditions. Perform safe, effective pest-control treatments and preventative services. Maintain and grow customer relationships through dependable, professional service. Educate customers and recommend appropriate pest-control solutions. Identify opportunities for additional services, referrals and new business. Maintain accurate service documentation and follow company safety and quality standards. Manage your route efficiently while working independently and as part of our Pest team. What We're Looking For Pest-control experience is preferred but not required for the right candidate. Current Washington General Pest Control and Structural Pest Control licenses are a significant plus. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. Dependable, self-motivated and comfortable working independently. Strong customer-service and communication skills. Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform the physical requirements of pest-control service. Ability to successfully complete required background and drug screening. Compensation & Benefits $27-$30/hour starting pay, depending on experience and qualifications Route-production incentive Sales commissions Quarterly bonus opportunities $1,000 sign-on bonus depending on experience Company vehicle, equipment and tools Medical and dental benefits Retirement plan Paid training and ongoing professional development Advancement opportunities within Pest and the broader
