Animal Removal and Pest Technician Job Description:
This is an outstanding opportunity to join a well-established wildlife control company that believes that one of the most critical aspects of small-business success lies with the people that make up our team. We currently have an opportunity for a wildlife and pest control technician in our SE Wisconsin branch starting immediately. While the opportunity is in the wildlife and pest control field, it is a profession that centers on working with people. We are looking for an outgoing people person. At times it can be physically demanding and does require lifting 20-40ft ladders, working at heights, in hot attics, driving a company provided truck, and working in close contact with skunks, raccoons, bats and other wildlife. Our candidate must be self-motivated, able to work independently, yet able to accept directions and follow company policies. You must be able to communicate with customers effectively and in a professional manner. This is a very rewarding and profitable career for the right person. There are new experiences around every corner, boredom is not and never will be an issue related to this position. We are looking for a people person that can help build professional relationships with our customers and solve human - wildlife/pest conflicts. In order to get hired for our company the most important aspect to have is an outgoing personality and an ability to work well with our customers! Below you will find a list of expected day to day activities for our technicians. Day to
Day Activities:
Inspect homes to find pest/animal entry Locate areas of entry- remove problem wildlife Apply chemicals to control insects to homes Find mouse entry locations and seal homes Drive company vehicle to job sites to help maintain pest free homes Fill out paperwork for customers Communicate with customers about problem wildlife and entry locations Provide feedback to the office about customer problems Evaluate homes for additional needs/services Weekend work is required (1 weekend per month only) Using and lifting ladders to inspect roofs/attics Inspecting inside and outside of the home Sealing animal entry points in a professional manner
Job Requirements:
Irregular hours (some weekend work) Lifting 50+ pounds Working with heights (on rooftops) Some required licenses
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma Must have valid driving license Good driving record Good written and oral communication skills Excellent problem solving abilities Safety minded personality People person and team player Able to work with animals Ability to pass a drug screen Ability to sell additional products and services to potential customers Ability to overcome objections Knowledge of google calendar/ability to operate a smart phone Obtain pest control and trapping licenses
Desired Qualifications:
(not required) Pursuing Degree in Biology or related field Commercial Pesticide Applicator Certification Experience in the Pest Control Experience in Building Trades (Roofing, Siding, Construction) Basic home repair knowledge Desire to excel and surpass beyond the industry standards Trapping experience Sales training Desire to sell based on customer's needs If you are interested in finding out more about working with one largest animal removal companies in Wisconsin please respond to this posting for additional information.
