Join the Lake Worth Drainage District as an Equipment Operator II and help maintain canal banks and right-of-ways. This hands-on role involves tree removal, trimming, handwork, and operating chainsaws and construction equipment such as mini-excavators and mini-skid steers. Key Responsibilities Skillfully operates chainsaws, stump grinders, trailers, and other similar equipment as part of the maintenance of District's canals, structures and Right-of-ways. Demonstrates experience bucket lift trucks, chipper truck and skid loader or equipment 5 tons or less Requirements High school diploma or equivalent preferred Valid Florida driver's license required Professional tree climbing or bucket truck experience preferred. CDL Class B license with airbrake endorsement is preferred or ability to obtain license within 6 months At least one year of demonstrated experience in the operation of heavy trucks and equipment such as bucket lift trucks, chipper truck, skid loader, or excavators 5 tons or less and similar equipment. Demonstrated satisfactory safety record required. Position may be filled at a higher grade for qualified candidates. Competitive pay and excellent benefits.
