Job Summary We are seeking an experienced, dependable, safety-focused, and highly productive Tree Trimmer / Pruner / Climber to join our tree care crew. This position is responsible for climbing, pruning, trimming, bucket lift operation, rigging, crane-assisted removals, and assisting with tree removals while maintaining safe work practices, efficient job performance, and professional service standards. The ideal candidate has experience working efficiently with a high level of productivity, working outdoors, is comfortable working at heights, can work cohesively as part of a crew, and can safely operate tree care tools and equipment. Key Responsibilities Climb trees using approved climbing, rigging, and safety equipment. Prune, trim, shape, and remove branches to improve tree health, appearance, and safety. Cut away dead, damaged, diseased, or hazardous limbs using handsaws, chainsaws, pruners, and related tools. Operate a bucket lift or aerial lift safely and efficiently when performing trimming, pruning, and removal work. Maintain a high level of productivity and efficiency while following safety procedures and quality standards. Assist with tree removals, limb lowering, brush dragging, chipping, loading, and jobsite cleanup. Assist with rigging operations and crane-assisted tree removals, including safe limb and trunk section lowering, staging, and communication with the crew. Operate or assist with equipment such as chippers, chainsaws, ropes, ladders, bucket trucks, and related tree care equipment when authorized. Inspect trees and work areas for hazards before beginning work. Maintain, clean, sharpen, and properly store tools and equipment. Follow all company safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment at all times. Communicate professionally with crew members, supervisors, and customers. Qualifications Previous tree trimming, pruning, climbing, landscaping, forestry, or outdoor labor experience required. Bucket lift or aerial lift operator experience preferred. Ability to climb trees and work safely at heights. Experience with chainsaws, hand tools, ropes, rigging, and chipping equipment. Rigging and crane-assisted tree removal experience. Strong attention to safety, surroundings, productivity, and proper equipment use. Ability to work efficiently and maintain a steady pace without compromising safety or work quality. Valid driver's license required Ability to follow instructions and work well as part of a crew. Reliable attendance and willingness to work in various weather conditions. Certification as an arborist or ISA certification is not required; however, knowledge of and demonstrated compliance with certification standards expected. Physical Requirements Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy materials and equipment. Must be able to climb, balance, bend, kneel, reach, and work for extended periods outdoors. Must be comfortable working around saws, ropes, ladders, chippers, trucks, and other tree care equipment.
