Compliance Technician - Tanknology Job Description Role Overview Tanknology, a United Uptime Services Company, is seeking a Compliance Field Service Technician (often starting as an apprentice) to join its nationwide team dedicated to preventing fuel leaks in tanks and piping systems. The role combines fieldwork, technical skills, and compliance responsibilities, with opportunities for training and certification. Key Responsibilities Conduct site assessments and surveys for compliance and safety. Perform leak tests on fuel storage tanks and piping systems. Install and test tank gauge systems and other equipment. Enter and analyze test results using proprietary software (TANCS) and communicate findings to the Operations team. Manage and report inventory of parts and supplies on company vehicles. Perform equipment installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Maintain safety compliance in all work activities Qualifications & Skills Mechanical aptitude with experience in trades such as HVAC, plumbing, mechanics, electrical work, carpentry, or cable installation (preferred). Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and perform physical tasks like stooping, bending, and kneeling. Comfortable climbing 20 ft extension ladders multiple times daily. Basic computer skills for data entry and use of TANCS software. Effective communication skills and customer service orientation. High school diploma or GED required. Willingness to undergo DOT physical, drug screening, DMV check, and background check. Ability to travel across multiple states, sometimes staying overnight (hotel and per diem provided) Work Environment & Requirements Field-based work on various job sites. Commitment to safety and quality compliance. Energetic, hands-on attitude with a desire to contribute to company growth.
