Join the Badger team as a Locator! In this role, you'll conduct utility and sewer locates to research and inspect data regarding excavation on various construction projects. If you're detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and ready to be part of essential infrastructure work, apply now to join our dedicated team. $20.00 per hour and up based on experience with many opportunities for pay increases and career advancement!
What You'll Be Doing:
Operate various electronic devices to assist locating and verifying underground utilities including gas, phone, and fiber optic cables. Perform various reports and documentation verifying marked utilities. Prepare GPS data on located utilities and related above ground features. Identifying and marking utility lines using spray paint or colored flags. Attending safety meetings.
What We're Looking For:
Valid Driver's License. Preferred experience with locating utilities Ability to distinguish colors for marked utilities. Must be willing to travel up to 50%. Must be able to lift, push, pull 30+ pounds. What You'll Need for
Success:
Customer Service Focused and comfortable with customer interaction. Enthusiasm for being part of a safety-focused collaborative team. Technology adept. Personal Protective Equipment provided. Candidates must undergo a physical examination and complete pre-employment screenings such as driver's abstract review and drug and alcohol test. This position is in a region that is covered under a collective bargaining agreement; the successful applicant may be required to join the union as a condition of employment.
