Description:

Chalet is a fourth generation, family owned retailer that has served our community for over 100 years. We sell a variety of products including outdoor plants, indoor plants, garden products, outdoor furniture, home and holiday decorations, and pet food/supplies. We have an opportunity for a new team member who likes to work mostly outside in a very physical job. You'll primarily be responsible for installing Christmas trees at customer homes during the busy Holiday season.

Responsibilities include:

In a crew of 2, loading Christmas trees to be delivered, driving to customers' homes, and installing the Christmas tree in specified location. On average 15-20 per day. Pounding stakes to put up Christmas trees. Unloading Christmas trees and Christmas greens. Supporting our planting crew (planting at customers' homes), delivery team (going out on deliveries), and our Support team (loading customers' cars) as needed.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications: We're looking for helpful, hardworking and accountable people who can lift at least ideally 75-100 lbs. Being comfortable working actively and being on your feet for 8 or 9 hour shifts. Previous experience with delivery or in retail or a warehouse is a plus. A valid driver's license, clean driving record, and be comfortable driving larger vehicles.

Pay, Benefits & Scheduling:

We pay weekly and you would also be eligible for tips. Our benefits include product discount and sick pay. The schedule is 5 days per week (including 1 shift on a weekend day if possible), ideally 7:00am-3pm daily. Open to working a 6th day is a plus. Start date would be around early October and the season will go until early January.
