This role involves climbing trees using tree gaffs, saddles, and all appropriate safety gear, operating aerial lifts, and performing tree work safely and efficiently. Candidates must be skilled in rigging, chainsaw use, and willing to work with cranes. The ability to operate manual (stick shift) transmissions on company equipment is required. Training is available, but prior tree climbing experience is required. Flexibility to work in all weather conditions is essential. Safety is our top priority, and we value crew members who can work well with others and maintain a professional, positive jobsite environment.
Responsibilities:
Climb trees and perform pruning, trimming, and removals using chainsaws, rigging gear, and climbing equipment. Operate bucket trucks, spider lifts, and cranes (or demonstrate willingness to learn.) Cut away dead and excess branches from trees or clear branches around power lines. Use chainsaws, hooks, handsaws, shears, and clippers to complete tasks. Cable, brace, tie, bolt, stake, and guide trees and branches to provide structural support. Install equipment to protect or support trees. Remove broken limbs from wires using hooked extension poles. Assist ground crew with rigging, cleanup, and equipment care.
Requirements:
MUST have prior tree climbing experience. Ability to use aerial bucket safely, or willingness to learn. Must be able to operate manual (stick shift) transmissions on company equipment. Valid driver's license. Reliable transportation. Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Team-oriented, safety-focused attitude. CDL preferred, but not required.
