Overview Craney Tree Service LLC is looking for an experienced Bucket Truck Operator to join our tree service crew. We are looking for someone who is already proficient in professional tree work and can step onto the jobsite with minimal supervision. This is not an entry-level position . The ideal candidate understands tree removal, trimming, rigging, jobsite safety, and how to efficiently operate a bucket truck in a residential and commercial tree-care environment. What You'll Do Operate a bucket truck safely and efficiently Perform tree removals, trimming, pruning, and storm-damage work Safely access and work in trees from the bucket Assist with rigging and lowering branches when needed Work alongside ground crew and climbers to complete jobs efficiently Identify hazards and determine safe work methods Safely operate chainsaws and other tree-care equipment Help with setup, cleanup, chipping, and general ground operations when needed Maintain a clean and organized jobsite Follow proper safety procedures and take pride in quality workmanship What We're Looking For Previous professional tree-service experience required Strong knowledge of tree removal and trimming techniques Comfortable and proficient operating a bucket truck Able to safely operate a chainsaw from an aerial lift Understanding of rigging and basic tree mechanics Able to work independently and make good decisions on the jobsite Dependable, punctual, and willing to work hard Good communication and ability to work as part of a small crew Valid driver's license and clean driving record preferred CDL is a plus, but not necessarily required Ideal Candidate We're looking for someone who can show up to a job, look at the trees, understand what needs to be done, and get to work without needing constant direction . You should already know how to safely make cuts from the bucket, recognize potential hazards, work around structures and power lines, communicate with the ground crew, and efficiently complete tree work. We are willing to pay for experience and the ability to produce quality work. Compensation Competitive pay based on experience and skill level. Experienced candidates who can operate a bucket truck, perform quality tree work, and work independently will be compensated accordingly.
