A Tree Climber or Trimmer trims and prunes trees. Clears away excess branches near utility lines or over roads or sidewalks. Prunes dead or diseased tree limbs to improve the appearance and health of the tree. Uses rigging equipment and may work from a truck powered lift; uses chain saws and other power equipment.

Job Description
Dave Leonard Tree Specialists is currently seeking a professional tree climber to add to our team of arborists! Dave Leonard Tree Specialists is Lexington, Kentucky's most knowledgeable and well-equipped tree care company. With over 40 years of history providing high-quality tree care in our market, our tree work crews stay busy full-time year round. Candidates must:
- Have consistent work ethic and positive attitude
- Be willing and able to learn how to prune trees to ISA specifications and our quality standards
- Be drug and bigotry free
- Be clean and presentable
- Show up for work every day on-time
- Have valid drivers license and reliable transportation
- Class A CDL or Class B CDL is preferred Ideal candidate will have 2 or more years of professional tree climbing experience, experience working from a bucket truck, crane removal experience, and ISA Arborist Certification is preferred.
