  • Part-time, Contract Overview Join our dynamic team as a Tree Climber and become a vital part of maintaining healthy, beautiful, and safe urban and rural landscapes.
In this energetic role, you will leverage your climbing skills and horticultural knowledge to prune, trim, and care for trees of all sizes. Your expertise will help enhance tree health, ensure safety around power lines and structures, and contribute to the overall landscape aesthetics. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors, develop your growing experience in arboriculture, and make a tangible impact on community environments. Responsibilities Safely ascend trees using ropes, harnesses, and climbing gear to perform pruning, trimming, and removal tasks. Operate bucket trucks and bucket lifts to access high branches or hard-to-reach areas efficiently. Use rigging techniques to safely lower large branches or debris during tree removal or pruning projects. Maintain equipment such as chainsaws, pruning tools, bucket trucks, and rigging gear in excellent condition. Follow safety protocols rigorously to prevent accidents and ensure a secure working environment for yourself and team members. Skills Proven growing experience with trees, shrubs, and landscape plants; knowledge of horticulture principles is a plus. Strong understanding of tree care techniques including trimming, pruning, cabling, bracing, and disease management. Skilled in rigging methods for safe removal of large limbs or entire trees. Experience operating bucket trucks and bucket lifts for elevated work tasks. Ability to perform landscape maintenance tasks such as lawn care and general landscaping duties. Excellent physical fitness with the ability to climb confidently at heights while maintaining balance and safety awareness.
