Executive Leadership Position Summary Moersch Hospitality Group is seeking an experienced, energetic, and highly visible Director of Hospitality to lead the guest experience and hospitality operations across the organization's portfolio of wineries, restaurants, tasting rooms, and destination properties. The Director of Hospitality is responsible for establishing and maintaining consistent standards of service, leadership, culture, and operational excellence across all Moersch Hospitality Group properties, including Tabor Hill Winery & Restaurant, Round Barn Estate, Round Barn Public House, Round Barn Union Pier Tasting Room, and other current or future hospitality locations. This is a multi-property leadership position requiring a strong presence in the field. The Director of Hospitality will work closely with property managers and department leaders to develop high-performing teams, strengthen accountability, improve operational consistency, and ensure every guest interaction reflects the standards and values of Moersch Hospitality Group. The ideal candidate combines exceptional hospitality instincts with strong operational discipline and understands how to translate company expectations into consistent execution across multiple properties with distinct concepts and service models. Key ResponsibilitiesMulti-Property Hospitality Leadership Provide hospitality leadership and operational oversight across all Moersch Hospitality Group properties. Establish and maintain consistent company-wide standards for guest service, hospitality, professionalism, and presentation. Maintain a highly visible presence at properties, particularly during peak service periods, weekends, special events, and high-volume seasons. Partner with property managers to evaluate operations and identify opportunities for improvement. Ensure each property maintains its individual identity while consistently reflecting Moersch Hospitality Group hospitality standards. Serve as a resource, coach, and escalation point for hospitality managers. Support new concepts, property openings, service initiatives, and organizational growth. Guest Experience Champion an exceptional guest-first culture throughout the organization. Develop clear service standards for restaurants, tasting rooms, bars, outdoor venues, and other guest-facing operations. Regularly observe service and provide real-time coaching and feedback to leadership teams. Monitor guest feedback, reviews, complaints, and service trends to identify opportunities for improvement. Develop processes for service recovery and empower managers to resolve guest concerns appropriately. Work with property leadership to continuously improve the guest journey from arrival through departure. Ensure hospitality standards remain strong during periods of high volume. Leadership & Team Development Coach, mentor, and develop General Managers, Assistant Managers, Front-of-House Managers, Tasting Room Managers, and other hospitality leaders. Establish clear leadership expectations and accountability standards. Partner with managers to identify high-potential employees and develop future hospitality leaders. Promote a culture of professionalism, accountability, teamwork, communication, and continuous improvement. Conduct regular leadership meetings and property visits. Assist leadership teams in addressing performance challenges and operational concerns. Partner with Human Resources on leadership development, employee relations, performance management, and staffing initiatives. Training & Service Standards Lead the development and implementation of hospitality training programs across the organization. Establish consistent onboarding and training expectations for guest-facing positions.

Guest engagement and service Wine, beer, and spirits knowledge Food and menu knowledge Service steps and sequence Upselling and suggestive selling Responsible alcohol service Complaint handling and service recovery Professional appearance and communication Leadership and supervisory development Work with property leadership to evaluate training effectiveness and reinforce standards after initial training. Conduct or coordinate ongoing service training, workshops, and leadership development. Operational Excellence Partner with property leaders to improve labor management, scheduling, service flow, productivity, and operational efficiency. Evaluate floor plans, staffing models, service processes, and guest traffic patterns. Ensure properties are appropriately staffed and positioned for projected business levels. Assist managers with preparation for peak weekends, holidays, concerts, festivals, weddings, private events, and seasonal business. Identify operational inconsistencies between properties and implement sustainable solutions. Support development and enforcement of hospitality SOPs. Ensure appropriate opening, closing, cleanliness, appearance, and facility standards are consistently maintained. Food, Beverage & Brand Experience Partner with culinary, beverage, winemaking, brewing, distilling, and property leadership to ensure employees effectively represent Moersch Hospitality Group products. Promote strong employee knowledge of company-produced wine, spirits, beer, food, and experiences. Ensure service teams can confidently communicate product stories and recommendations to guests. Support beverage presentation, tasting experiences, service standards, and responsible alcohol service practices. Work collaboratively with culinary leadership to ensure coordination between front-of-house and back-of-house teams. Revenue & Business Performance Promote hospitality practices that strengthen revenue while maintaining an authentic guest experience.

Identify opportunities to improve profitability through stronger service execution, training, labor management, and operational efficiency. Events & High-Volume Operations Support hospitality execution for weddings, private events, festivals, concerts, seasonal programming, and other major events. Work with Events, Culinary, Operations, and property leadership to ensure appropriate staffing and operational preparation. Establish expectations for guest flow, communication, service execution, and leadership coverage during major events. Provide hands-on leadership when business conditions require additional support. Communication & Cross-Functional Partnership Serve as a bridge between Executive Leadership and property hospitality teams. Collaborate closely with Human Resources, Culinary, Marketing, Events, Wine Club, Production, Finance, and Operations. Communicate company priorities and operational expectations clearly to property leadership. Identify recurring operational issues and recommend organization-wide solutions. Participate in strategic planning for hospitality operations and company growth. Previous multi-property, multi-unit, or regional leadership experience strongly preferred. Proven ability to lead and develop managers and hospitality teams. Strong understanding of elevated guest service and hospitality standards. Experience with restaurants, wineries, tasting rooms, beverage operations, or destination hospitality strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of restaurant and front-of-house operations. Wine, spirits, beer, and beverage knowledge highly desirable. Experience developing training programs, SOPs, and service standards. Strong financial and operational understanding, including labor management, sales performance, and operational KPIs. Excellent leadership, coaching, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on operational involvement. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage priorities across multiple locations. The Director of Hospitality must:
Maintain a flexible schedule based on business needs. Regularly work evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary. Travel frequently between Moersch Hospitality Group properties. Maintain a visible leadership presence during key service periods. Be available to assist properties during significant operational or guest-service situations. Physical Requirements The physical requirements described below are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. The employee must be able to: Stand and walk for extended periods during property visits and service. Frequently move throughout restaurants, tasting rooms, outdoor venues, production-adjacent areas, and event spaces.
