Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Tree Climber and become a vital part of maintaining healthy, beautiful landscapes! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for safely climbing and pruning trees, performing rigging and tree care tasks, and supporting landscape maintenance projects. Your expertise will help ensure the safety of both the environment and the community while enhancing urban and rural green spaces. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in horticulture, tree trimming, and equipment operation within a vibrant outdoor setting. Responsibilities Safely ascend trees using climbing gear, rigging techniques, and bucket trucks to perform pruning, trimming, and removal tasks Operate bucket trucks and other equipment such as bucket lifts to access hard-to-reach areas efficiently Conduct tree care activities including trimming, shaping, and health assessments to promote growth and safety Assist with landscape maintenance projects like lawn care, planting, and general landscaping to improve overall site aesthetics Ensure all rigging procedures are performed correctly to secure branches or equipment during work operations Follow safety protocols rigorously to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment for yourself and team members Requirements Knowledge of tree care practices including pruning, trimming, and disease management Experience operating bucket trucks, lifts, or similar machinery used in arboriculture and landscape work Familiarity with rigging techniques for safe tree removal or branch lowering Ability to work at heights confidently while maintaining safety standards Strong physical fitness with the ability to climb trees, lift heavy tools or branches, and perform outdoor labor in various weather conditions Basic understanding of GIS technology is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided for interested candidates Join us if you're passionate about cultivating green spaces!
