A Tree Climber or Trimmer trims and prunes trees. Clears away excess branches near utility lines or over roads or sidewalks. Prunes dead or diseased tree limbs to improve the appearance and health of the tree. Uses rigging equipment and may work from a truck powered lift; uses chain saws and other power equipment.

Job Description
About us An east TN company. We are inclusive and innovative. Duties will include but not limited to: Tree trimming and/or tree removal with the aid of safety belts, climbing line, powered trimmer, lift truck or working from the ground using gasoline, air, and hand powered saws, pruners, etc. Cutting branched or trunk sections and drop or lower to the ground with lines. Using chain saws to fall and trim tree trunks and cut logs into manageable pieces. Load & unload trucks with logs, stumps, brush, & debris and/or feed brush into gas/diesel powered chipper. Repair damage to lawns, fences, and walks caused by trimming of trees. Verify the equipment needed for the day is on the truck i.e. signs, cones, saws, etc. Check & service chainsaws and make sure they are fueled & oiled & ready Pull or drag brush to truck or chipper. Raking and/or chipping of brush. Relay hand signals, direct traffic, drive and operate trucks and equipment as assigned and keep trucks and work area clear and orderly, assist trimmer & climber in any way needed. Keep tools and equipment in proper order & in the correct place. Must have valid driver's license, CDL's are preferred, but not required. Those with CDL license will be compensated accordingly. Must pass pre-employment drug screen. Travel to main office in may be required to complete employment process.' Must be 18 years of age or older. Must be able to work with hands above head for extended periods of time. Must be able to walk, climb, and work from ladders, or at various heights, on uneven and slippery surfaces, performing mentally/physically demanding work under unfavorable weather conditions while handling equipment or material.
