Prunes dead or diseased tree limbs to improve the appearance and health of the tree. Uses rigging equipment and may work from a truck powered lift; uses chain saws and other power equipment.

Job Description
MC Land & Property is hiring an experienced Bucket Operator to join our tree care and right-of-way crew. This is a full-time, hands-on position for someone with experience in tree work who is dependable, safety-conscious, and comfortable working as part of a crew. A CDL is required; however, this is not a driving-only position. Employees will be expected to actively participate in tree work and daily jobsite operations. Responsibilities Operate bucket trucks safely and efficiently for tree trimming and removal Perform residential and right-of-way tree work Assist with tree removals, trimming, cleanup, chipping, and general ground operations as needed Safely operate and work around trucks, chippers, cranes, lifts, and heavy equipment Perform pre-trip inspections and maintain assigned trucks and equipment Follow company and jobsite safety procedures Work effectively with ground crews, equipment operators, and other team members Adapt to changing jobsites, schedules, and weather conditions Travel to jobs throughout East Tennessee, Western North Carolina, and Southwest Virginia Requirements Valid CDL with clean MVR Previous bucket operation/tree care experience required Previous work history and references required Experience with residential and/or right-of-way tree work Strong work ethic and dependable attendance Ability to work safely and productively as part of a crew Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to perform the physical duties associated with tree work ScheduleFull-timeMonday-FridayApproximately 7:00 AM-5:00/6:00 PMWeekends generally off Compensation & Benefits Pay based on experience Paid holidays Full-time, year-round work LocationOur shop is located in Jonesborough, Tennessee. Crews travel throughout East Tennessee, Western North Carolina, and Southwest Virginia.
