In person We are looking for an experienced Tree Climber to join our professional team in San Antonio, TX. This is a hands-on position for someone who is confident climbing trees, performing professional pruning and trimming, operating a chainsaw, and safely handling tree removals. We are looking for a skilled, experienced tree climber, not someone who is simply looking to learn the trade. The right candidate is someone who can show up ready to work, safely climb and work in trees, operate a chainsaw, perform quality pruning and removals, and work efficiently with a ground crew Responsibilities Safely climb trees using ropes, harnesses, and proper climbing equipment Perform professional tree trimming and pruning Remove dead, damaged, and hazardous limbs Perform tree removals Operate chainsaws and other tree-care equipment safely Perform and assist with rigging and lowering branches and tree sections Safely work around homes, buildings, vehicles, fences, landscaping, and other structures Identify hazards and determine safe work practices Assist with difficult or technical tree removals Work with ground crew to efficiently complete tree-care projects Assist with brush removal, cleanup, chipping, and loading when needed Maintain and properly care for climbing equipment, chainsaws, and other equipment Keep job sites clean and organized Follow company safety procedures and proper tree-care practices Complete work efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards Communicate professionally with crew members and customers Required Qualifications 2+ years of professional tree-climbing experience Proven ability to safely climb trees using ropes and climbing equipment Professional tree trimming and pruning experience Chainsaw experience Experience working at heights Knowledge of safe tree-climbing practices Ability to safely perform physically demanding outdoor work Ability to lift, carry, climb, and work on your feet throughout the day Reliable and punctual Strong work ethic Safety-minded Able to work independently and as part of a team Takes pride in quality workmanship Preferred Qualifications Experience with tree removals Experience with rigging and lowering Experience with technical removals Experience working around power lines Arborist or tree-care certifications Experience operating a chipper Experience driving trucks and trailers Previous tree crew leader or foreman experience Bilingual English/Spanish What We Offer $270 per day Full-time, Monday-Friday schedule Consistent work Paid time off Supportive team environment Professional equipment Opportunities for additional responsibility and advancement Opportunity to grow with an established landscaping and tree-care company
