Full-time Summary:
Vann Brothers is seeking a dependable and motivated Ag Mechanic to support orchard and harvest operations through the maintenance and repair of agricultural equipment and machinery. This role is responsible for assisting with preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to help ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently throughout the year. The ideal candidate will have experience working on agricultural or diesel-powered equipment and the ability to work in both shop and field environments.Qualifications :
Previous mechanic or agricultural equipment experience preferred Basic knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and agricultural equipment Ability to troubleshoot and complete repairs efficiently Welding and fabrication experience is a plus Ability to work independently and as part of a team Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required Valid California Driver License requiredEssential Duties and Responsibilities :
include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Inspect, maintain, and repair agricultural equipment and machinery Perform preventative maintenance on tractors, harvest equipment, sweepers, conditioners, bank outs, trailers, and support equipment Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues Assist with diesel engine and A/C repairs Perform routine inspections and identify maintenance concerns Respond to equipment breakdowns in shop or field settings as needed Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe Operate tools, jacks, lifts, welders, and diagnostic equipment safely Assist senior mechanics with repairs and maintenance projects Follow all company safety procedures and lockout/tagout requirementsAdditional Responsibilities:
Include but are not limited to the following. § Assist office, production, quality, sanitation, and other personnel as needed. § Corporate in company programs such as the recognition program.Supervisory Responsibilities:

Must be willing to learn new processes as needed while being a strong team player in a positive environment.Language Skills :
Ability to understand verbal instructions and written documents such as safety rules, labels, MSDS, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Must be able to understand, read and write English in order to document results on forms and logs.Mathematical Skills :
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all measure units, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Reasoning Ability:
Must have the ability to apply common understanding to carry out instructions furnished in writing, oral, or diagram form.Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
None.Other Qualifications :
Must be able to work rotating shifts, including night shift, overtime, and weekends as needed. Education and/orExperience :
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 1-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Physical Demands:
