Alignment technician

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Alignment Technician to join our dynamic automotive service team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing precise wheel alignments and suspension diagnostics to ensure optimal vehicle handling, safety, and performance. Your expertise will help maintain our reputation for quality automotive repairs and exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will bring a strong mechanical background, hands-on experience with automotive systems, and a passion for delivering top-tier vehicle maintenance. Duties Conduct accurate wheel alignments using advanced alignment equipment and schematics to meet manufacturer specifications. Diagnose suspension, steering, and chassis issues utilizing automotive electrical systems and diagnostic tools. Perform comprehensive vehicle inspections, including tire service, shocks & struts replacement, and brake repairs. Utilize hand tools and power tools to adjust or replace components such as tie rods, control arms, and bushings. Interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical problems on various vehicle makes, including GM vehicles. Execute routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, transmission servicing, and powertrain repairs to ensure vehicle longevity. Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and providing recommendations for ongoing vehicle care.

Experience:

must have experience with Hunter Hawkeye Elite System Proven dealership or automotive repair shop experience with a focus on alignment, suspension, or steering systems. Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, including electrical systems and engine management. Hands-on experience with ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibration is a plus. Familiarity with diesel engine repair, oil change procedures, and powertrain components. Ability to read and interpret schematics related to automotive electrical and mechanical systems. Mechanical knowledge of transmissions, auto body repair basics, welding techniques, and general automotive maintenance.
