Key Responsibilities:
Develop and Evaluate Methods:
Design, create, and execute scientific methods to develop and optimize chemical processes for the reduction of end-of-life textile waste. Lead key development projects and innovate / identify new techniques related to purification.Conduct Laboratory Work:
Support development and standardization of analytical test methods, laboratory procedures, specifications, and quality control protocols. Conduct routine and non-routine laboratory testing while ensuring accuracy, reproducibility, and compliance with established procedures.Analyze and Interpret Data:
Interpret and analyze experimental results, drawing sound scientific conclusions to guide and accelerate our research and development efforts.Communicate Findings:
Clearly and concisely communicate observations and conclusions through both verbal and written formats, including formal presentations and detailed documentation.Collaborate Globally:
Work effectively as a part of an international, interdisciplinary team, contributing to a collaborative and innovative work environment.Maintain Lab Integrity:
Ensure an organized and safe laboratory and facility environment by strictly adhering to all safety protocols and best practices.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience:
5+ years of experience in the development of chemical processes, with a strong preference for experience within an R D or pilot facility setting.Education:
Bachelor's degree in chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Textile Engineering, or a related technical field with a strong academic background.Analytical Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with hands-on experience in a variety of analytical techniques, including High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Gas Chromatography (GC), Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP), Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC), and Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA).Collaboration:
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with a demonstrated ability to work successfully in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.Research Mindset:
Proven ability to perform multidisciplinary research and a strong passion for the field of textile recycling and sustainability.Project Management:
An understanding of the key requirements for a successful research project, including managing time and resources effectively to meet project goals.Professional Skills:
Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills. Are fluent in English both orally and in writing (professional English required).
