Job Description Help for Job Description. Opens a new window. The Andrologist provides services in the REI Andrology laboratory including but not limited to:

• Semen analysis,
• Processing of surgically retrieved sperm, processing of sperm for intrauterine insemination, and cryopreservation of sperm.
• Testing of blood and fluids including blood chemistry immunoassays, hematocrit, urinalysis, and pregnancy tests.

The Andrologist will interact with patients, nurses, embryologists, and physicians. The Andrologist reports directly to the laboratory director and is responsible for communicating any and all concerns to the director. The Andrologist is expected to know or become knowledgeable in clinical laboratory testing and adheres to both federal and Florida regulations and assures that work is performed in accordance with ASRM and FDA standards. Responsibilities The andrologist is responsible for:

• Result reporting,
• Performing quality control (QC) procedures,
• Performing and reporting proficiency testing,
• Monitoring inventory, maintenance of equipment to ensure proper performance, and monthly QC reports

  8:00AM-5:00PM
