FTE Job Summary:

Assists licensed anesthesia provider(s) with duties related to the care and monitoring of patients and equipment.

Job Responsibilities:

Cleans, sterilizes, and sets up all types of anesthesia equipment. Assists anesthesia provider with monitoring, transport, positioning, insertion of intravenous and other invasive lines, and airway management. Provides daily maintenance of all equipment and troubleshoots malfunctions. Maintains a sufficient inventory of all equipment and supplies. Assists all team members in room turnover and set up.

Skills and Attributes:

Requires critical thinking skills and decisive judgment. Works under general supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Applies more advanced skills and knowledge in the area of specialization.

Work Experience No experience required Education High school diploma, General Equivalency Diploma (GED) or higher required upon hire Additional Education Information None Licensure/Certification/Registration BLS•Certified as a Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider required within 90 days of employment in this position
