All About Pets, located on the south end of Hilton Head Island, is searching for an energetic and passionate individual to join our team as an Animal Care Associate. Schedule:
Shift hours/schedule vary, but in general working hours fall anywhere M-F 7am-9pm, Sat & Sun 7am-4pm, 8-9pm. Working weekends and rotating holidays is required.Animal Care:
Feeding and Watering:
Ensure dogs receive appropriate meals and fresh water according to their dietary needs and schedule.Walking and Exercise:
Supervise and engage with dogs during outdoor and indoor playtime to meet their exercise requirements.Cleaning:
Maintain clean kennels, runs, and play areas, including cleaning up after the dogs.Medication Administration:
Administer medications to dogs as prescribed by veterinarians and according to directions provided by owners.Behavioral Monitoring:
Observe dogs for signs of illness, injury, or behavioral changes, and report any issues to management.Customer Service:
Check-in and Check-out:
Greet pet owners, complete forms, and answer questions about service procedures.Communication:
Maintain open communication with pet owners, providing updates on their pets' well-being.Special Requests:
Accommodate special requests, such as specific feeding instructions or playtime preferences.General Responsibilities:
Safety:
Prioritize the safety of all pets in the facility.Teamwork:
Collaborate with other staff members to ensure smooth operations.Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate records of dog & cat care, including feeding schedules, medications, and behavioral observations.Compliance:
Adhere to all facility policies and procedures, as well as local animal welfare regulations.Additional Responsibilities:
Bathing:
Bathe dogs as needed or requested by owners.Enrichment Activities:
Provide mental and physical stimulation through toys, puzzles, and training exercises.Socialization:
Facilitate positive interactions between dogs in a controlled environment. Provide individual attention and care to cats. Happy Pets, Happy Clients, Happy You (and Your Wallet)! Our dedicated team is appreciated by our wonderful clients, which often translates into excellent tips, making this a financially rewarding opportunity. Our starting base salary is $18/hr. Employees can typically expect to earn an additional $3- 5 an hour in tips. We are committed to attracting top talent and offer a strong base salary that reflects experience and qualifications.
