Assisting Director of Food Services in overall management of the Food Services DepartmentSCOPE OF WORK
Under general direction, assists in planning, coordinating and directing the District-wide food services operation in compliance with local, State, and Federal regulations; assists the Director of Food Services in the overall management of the Food Services Department.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Assist with free and reduced meal program including; processing meal benefit forms, informing and updating kitchens daily, student meal status, and assist in taking calls relating to free and reduced meal program. Maintain relationships with district Homeless Liaison and Social Workers and maintaining Direct Certification lists and extended benefits. Operate a computer and assigned software programs; operate other office equipment as needed. Coordinates communication between food services and parents, students, administrators, food service personnel, and outside organizations, vendors, and contractors. Directs the preparation and maintenance of narrative and statistical reports, records, and files related to assigned food service activities and personnel. Process participation and submit monthly reports to claim reimbursement for the National School Breakfast Program, National School Lunch Program, Special Milk Program and Summer Feeding Program (possibly other programs as added). Prepare and submit daily deposits to Accounting and post payments to meal accounts. Prepare food service documents, letters and menus as designated by the Director of Food Services. Assist with catering. Assist where needed as directed by the Director of Food Services. Assumes responsibility for the food services program in the absence of the Director of Food Services. Physical Requirements(Ability may be met with or without reasonable accommodations) Ability to lift and carry up to 80 lbs. Ability to stand without sitting for extended periods of time on a hard surface. Ability to sit for extended periods of time at a desk or computer. Ability to perform repetitive motions such as bending, stirring, lifting, sitting.QUALIFICATIONS
Related job experience Serve Safe Certificate from a nationally recognized Food Safety program.TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Compensation is according to the non-certified salary schedule and based upon position category, experience and years of service. Non-certified benefits are offered according to full versus part time status, and explained in the district's benefit brochure. This position is 261 days, 8 hours daily.EVALUATION
Performance of this position will be evaluated by the Director of Food Services in accordance with board policies of the Warrensburg School District.APPLICATION PROCEDURES
