Elementary Instructional Coach — 1.0 FTE ____________________________________________________________

POSITION OVERVIEW

1.0 FTE Elementary Instructional Coach for the upcoming school year. East Marshall CSD is seeking an experienced, student-centered educator to serve as a collaborative instructional leader within our PreK-6 building. The Instructional Coach works alongside classroom teachers and building administration to support high-quality instruction, professional learning, and the district's MTSS and PLC frameworks.

REQUIRED CREDENTIALS

Valid Iowa Teaching License Extensive elementary teaching experience — Required Strong foundation in research-based instructional practices and data literacy

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Instructional coaching experience — preferred, not required Familiarity with PLC processes, MTSS frameworks, and formative assessment systems Experience facilitating professional development for adult learners Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to build trust and work collaboratively with a wide range of staff

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

Serve as a contributing member of the District Leadership Team (DLT), supporting leadership decisions and being a collaborative voice with staff Plan and co-facilitate professional development during early-out and full-day PD sessions in partnership with building and district administration Support new staff during workshop week and ongoing building-level professional development Conduct regular walkthroughs, pre- and post-observation conferences, and model research-based instructional practices Plan and lead monthly mentoring meetings; coordinate and co-facilitate the district new teacher day each August Support teachers through the PLC process, including forms, standards, assessments, and instructional planning Coordinate all district testing and data collection, including FastBridge assessment sessions, data organization, and analysis Support the development and maintenance of a true MTSS system across the building Serve as a resource for all teachers by researching strategies and best practices to improve instruction Accept and implement direction from the building principal and curriculum director Perform additional duties as assigned, including substituting and covering classes as needed Participate in duties outside normal contract hours as needed, including board meetings, SIAC, interviews, PLCs, TLT/BLT meetings, trainings, and required summer and conference commitments as needed
