POSITION OVERVIEW

East Marshall CSD is seeking 2-4 temporary Summer Custodial Movers to assist with the relocation of furniture, equipment, and school materials between district buildings over the summer. This is a physical, hands-on position that plays a direct role in preparing East Marshall's facilities for the 2026-27 school year. Work is anticipated to run June 1 through July 31.

REQUIRED CREDENTIALS

Valid Iowa Driver's License — Required Experience operating trailers and equipment used in moving and hauling — Required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Previous experience in custodial, moving, or facilities work — preferred, not required Ability to lift and move heavy items safely Reliable, self-directed, and able to work as part of a team Comfortable working in a variety of indoor and outdoor settings

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

Load, transport, and unload furniture, equipment, and school materials between East Marshall CSD buildings Operate trailers and other moving equipment safely and responsibly Work collaboratively with district staff and facilities personnel to complete move priorities on schedule Follow all district safety protocols during moving and hauling activities Perform other duties as assigned in support of summer facilities work
