Job Summary:
Under the general supervision of the Director of Student Services and the School Principals, the Intervention Specialist will maximize the learning potential of students with exceptionalities in all areas of academics, behavior, college/career readiness, interpersonal skills and activities of daily living by implementing research-based best practices, documenting teaching and student progress/activities and addressing students' specific needs in the least restrictive environment.
The qualified candidate will:
Be responsible for all aspects of Special Education services and compliance and may provide additional intervention to students not identified for Special Education services as needed Be knowledgeable of all laws pertaining to special education, including but not limited to IDEA and Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS) Adhere to all regulations outlined in Operating Standards for Ohio Educational Agencies Serving Children with Disabilities Work closely with all stakeholders to insure that student needs are met, IEP goals are taught, and special education provisions are followed Foster positive relationships and personal connections with students

Ohio Teaching License:
Intervention Specialist Moderate-Intensive K-12 or Mild-Moderate K-12
