This position is required to be based out of the Omaha, NE area What you can expect as AOG Technician (OMA) atWest Star:
The AOG Technician will report to the regional AOG Manager. You must live within a reasonable driving distance to OMA Airport or be able to relocate as a condition of employment. Technicians will be responsible for completing time-sensitive aircraft repairs in the field. This position requires the technician to display a professional demeanor and project this atmosphere to our customers while working in sometimes unfamiliar locations throughout our region. This challenging position is key to providing our customers with the same exceptional service they are accustomed to wherever their aircraft may be while working with minimal supervisionEssential Job Duties:
Provide immediate and 24/7 responses for AOG support during assigned workdays. Coordinate with Maintenance Control on the status of all dispatched events. Secure and organize appropriate tooling and equipment for each event. Maintain an accurate and daily account of the event to ensure timely and accurate processing of work orders along with daily timekeeping. Ensure all work is accomplished within the requirements of the Repair Station Manual, Quality Standards and other applicable regulations or manuals. Coordinate with the Quality Team to ensure regulatory compliance. Maintain professional care and custody of assigned or loaned company vehicles, rental cars, tooling and/or equipment. all company policies (i.e. professionalism, proper attire). Manage timely and accurate expenses and reports. Maintain and grow customer relationships, including making customer outreach at WSA locations or other airports where the event is taking place. Must be available to work at OMA or any other location as dispatched Minimum Requirements FAA Airframe and Powerplant required High school graduate or equivalent Must possess a valid drivers license and U.S. passport Must be ready to work on scheduled days whether local or regional assignments 5+ years airframe and powerplant experience required Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where accuracy, safety and effective communication are prioritized Planning and organizational skills are necessary Working knowledge in Microsoft Office, Corridor and Maintenance Manuals What you'll need to bring with you: Your Education A High school diploma or equivalent and Airframe and Powerplant License are required. A valid driver's license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal.Your Experience:
The successful candidate for this position will hold a valid A&P certificate and have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience providing maintenance on one of the following aircraft: Embraer Phenom 100 & 300 Embraer Legacy/Prator Hawker 800/900 Cessna Citation Series Dassault Falcon Bombardier Challenger 350/650 Bombardier Global 5000/6000 King AirYour Initiative:

You must be able to perform repairs effectively and quickly in short notice, high-pressure situations.Your Sense of Responsibility:
Attend work every day as scheduled to include overtime and weekend assignments. Notify supervisor in advance of shift starting if unable to work. Must have reliable transportation to get to work each and every day. Perform all work in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration guidelines. all company and safety rules during performance of duties. Maintain customer-oriented work habits. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to drive to the daily work location and demonstrate regular attendance. The employee must routinely speak, write and hear using English as the primary language. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Mental Requirements Understanding and implementation of regulations and guidelines. Troubleshoot, evaluate and perform functional tests for various avionics and instrument systems. Work with others in a professional manner. Working Evironment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is also exposed to a variety of extreme weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. Equipment Used Personal hand tools supplied by the mechanic. Pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical equipment. Jacks, stands, lifts and other support devices. Tugs, power carts and other engine powered equipment. Crimpers, soldering iron and heat guns. Personal computer and work order prints Compensation & Benefit Information The following information is disclosed according to state specific requirements. If the position applied to is not in a state with these requirements, the following information may not apply. The hourly rate for this position generally ranges between $30.00- $65.00. Actual hourly rate will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience and performance. Additional compensation in the form of a shift differential will be provided if the employee is assigned to an alternate shift. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package. Other forms of compensation include a semi-annual discretionary bonus, 401(k) company match and employer contribution to a Health Savings Account (HSA).
