JOB SUMMARY- The Application Engineer is responsible for representing our global portfolio of caster and wheel solutions. This role serves as the technical liaison between customers, sales, manufacturing and internal engineering to develop and optimize mobility solutions across industrial, medical, marine, aerospace, automotive and material handling applications. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, application-based problem-solving skills, and the ability to independently manage customer applications from concept through delivery. This individual will play a critical role in supporting customized solutions, improving current product performance and strengthening customer partnerships through technical expertise. Essential Job Functions Serve as the primary technical resource for assigned customers and sales regions. Evaluate customer application requirements including load capacity, desired life, floor condition, environmental exposure, ergonomics and regulatory considerations. Perform engineering calculations to validate product selection (load distribution, rolling resistance, shock impact material performance, etc.) Collaborate with product engineering, quality and manufacturing to support design modifications and new product releases. Troubleshoot field performance concerns and recommend corrective design actions or material improvements while on-site at customers. Provide technical training and help guide internal sales teams and distribution partners to proper product offerings based on customer needs. Participate in design reviews, presenting technical information clearly and concisely to cross-functional audiences. Organization, communication and time-management skills for meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment Must abide by all Colson Group policies and procedures Performs other related duties and projects assigned. Travel up to 30-40% domestically and internationally based on customer opportunities. Note• Every effort has been made to identify the essential functions of this position.
