The California Conservation Corps (CCC) is offering an exceptional opportunity to join the founding leadership team as a Conservationist 2, Corpsmember Development (CMD), at our brand-new, Greenwood Residential Center! This is the ultimate chance to step onto a stunning, park-like center property surrounded by trees and wildlife, where you can help design operational workflows from the ground floor. Greenwood operates as a fully reimbursable center backed by a massive, highly varied, and robust resource work program. If you thrive on building programs from the ground up and want to lead the creation and strategic development of a brand-new center's CMD framework, this position offers the ideal environment to showcase your expertise. As the center's Corpsmember Development (CMD) Lead, you will be the operational backbone of our residential facility, providing lead direction to center resident staff to maintain seamless 24/7 center coverage. You will play a vital role in shaping the futures of our young adult Corpsmembers by managing our comprehensive educational partnerships, overseeing career development pathways, and directing the critical COMET curriculum. From managing the center-wide corrective action program and Corpsmember development plans to deploying statewide as an official Agency Representative during critical emergencies, this role offers a balance of high-level project coordination and direct professional mentorship. Tell us in this brief survey. You will find additional information about the job in the . Working Conditions This position is classified as "In Office" and is not eligible for telework. The selected incumbent will work at a brand-new residential center situated in a scenic, tree-lined environment with regular wildlife viewings, providing an inspiring and active backdrop to your day. This is a fully on-site position requiring the incumbent to work at the center either five 8 hour days or 4 10 hour days a week to provide continuous operational leadership. Because this center operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, the incumbent must be highly adaptable and willing to adjust their schedule to ensure full facility coverage. Additionally, this position requires statewide travel with short notice to serve as an Agency Representative during critical emergency response operations. Candidates must be prepared to work under varying weather conditions during field deployments and move regularly across a multi-building residential center. California Conservation Corps is excited to take part in the first agency-wide collaborative physical career center. The career center is located in the heart of Downtown Sacramento in the brand new CNRA headquarters building. Services provided include one-on-one career consultations, application/resume review, career guidance, mock interviews, and tips for applying.

Special Requirements

Commercial Driver License - Provide evidence that a Commercial Class C license with a Passenger Transport Vehicle special endorsement, or equivalent, has been obtained from the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV). Pre-employment Drug Test - Pass a urine drug test. In accordance with the Federal Highway Administration regulations (49 CFR, Part 382), persons hired to a class requiring a commercial driver's license must take and pass a pre-employment drug test.

Please note:

Per California Code of Regulations 213.5, applicants who fail the drug test pursuant to section 213.4 (h), will be disqualified from the examination in which they are competing and, except as provided by section 213.5 (e), shall not be eligible to take any State civil service examination for a class for which drug testing is required until one year has elapsed from the date the drug test specimen is given. Background Investigation - Undergo fingerprinting and successfully pass a Criminal Offender Record Information check completed by the Department of Justice (DOJ) which may or may not also include a background check through the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI). Medical Exam - a medical clearance examination is required for this classification.
