CY is seeking an architectural job captain to assist with the development of working drawings and specifications and consultant coordination for multiple small design build and design bid build projects alongside the principal architect. CY offers a generously flexible work schedule, health care / dependent care benefits, paid time off, and 401k matching. An ideal candidate will be available for 30-40 hours a week, and have 5-7 years experience min., with with good AutoCAD skills and intermediate to very good Revit skills in a production capacity. An accredited Architectural degree is required. An architectural license is highly preferred but not require (or well along in licensure process). The ideal candidate would be skilled at extensive code research (CA building Code), detailed production documents, writing reports and assessments, and detail oriented work. Candidates with California Division of the State Architect (DSA) and California Office of the State Fire Marshal (OSFM) and civic/government experience are a plus. Due to the nature of our work for schools and the justice system, background checks will be required. We are looking for enthusiastic, self driven, and confident production and plan development skills, with the ability to handle multiple small size, complex, technical projects such as modernizations to schools, courthouses, and building systems.
