Summary:

LCDG is looking for a motivated and energetic individual with 4-8 years experience to join our firm as a full-time Job Captain, working on K-12 educational projects alongside a dedicated group of talented professionals. Candidates should be available to start within 2-3 weeks.

This Job Captain position will join our Educational Practice, focusing on public and private K-12 projects. Our Education Practice is growing rapidly, and this position offers real opportunity for advancement, including growth into project management on future projects.

Responsibilities:

Work under the direction of a PM/PA and/or Principal Assist in design effort for projects & presentations Organize and help coordinate a full set of construction drawings Develop construction details, utilizing LCDG standards Help communicate with and direct the consultant and engineering team Help prepare project for submittal to Agency / Plan Check Code research and application

Qualifications:

Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship, and currently reside within commuting distance of Pasadena, CA Minimum 4 years design and technical experience, preferably on K-12 educational projects Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture Initiative, self-motivated; ability to manage time and organize tasks independently Strong time management and communication skills Able to work concurrently on multiple projects Software proficiency: Revit & AutoCAD, Microsoft suite, Bluebeam, 3D modeling software (SketchUp, Rhino), Adobe suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) Please email resume and work samples (PDF format, 10mb max) to .
