Job Description

Silicon Valley Cleanroom Design Institute is seeking a Licensed Architect who can also support our team with project coordination and assistant project management responsibilities. This position is ideal for an architect who is comfortable working beyond design and assisting with permitting, construction coordination, project documentation, and communication between clients, contractors, vendors, and internal team members. Responsibilities Prepare, review, and coordinate architectural drawings and project documentation Assist with architectural design and project planning Review construction drawings, specifications, and project requirements Coordinate with engineers, contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and clients Assist Project Management with project schedules, documentation, and follow-ups Help track project progress, outstanding items, and deadlines Assist with city permitting and plan-check processes Communicate with city departments and respond to permitting or plan-check requirements Participate in project meetings and occasional site visits Review field conditions and help coordinate design or construction changes Maintain organized project records and documentation Support projects from design and permitting through construction and completion Qualifications Active Architect License required Degree in Architecture or related field Experience with architectural design and construction projects Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit Understanding of architectural principles, building systems, and construction practices Familiarity with building codes, zoning requirements, and permitting processes Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings Experience communicating with city departments and handling permit-related matters preferred Strong organizational and project coordination skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently while coordinating with a multidisciplinary team Preferred Previous experience as a Project Coordinator, Assistant Project Manager, or Project Architect Experience coordinating architectural, MEP, and construction disciplines Experience with commercial, industrial, laboratory, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, or cleanroom projects is a plus
