Job Description

Alexis Knight Architects is seeking a motivated Project Architect / Architectural Project Manager to join our team. We work on a wide range of project types, including commercial, residential, civic, educational, religious, and renovation projects throughout South Florida. The ideal candidate should have experience preparing construction documents, coordinating with consultants, reviewing code requirements, and helping move projects from design through permitting and construction. Our office primarily uses Revit, with AutoCAD also used on certain projects. Basic working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam is expected, but we are open to candidates who are still growing their technical skills and are willing to learn. This position is a good fit for someone who enjoys variety, can manage multiple tasks, communicates well with team members and consultants, and wants to be involved in projects ranging from large-scale new construction to smaller renovation work. Duties Assist with the development of architectural drawings from schematic design through construction documents. Prepare and coordinate plans, elevations, sections, details, schedules, and general project documentation. Work primarily in Revit, with some AutoCAD use as needed. Use Bluebeam for plan review, markups, coordination, and consultant comments. Coordinate with structural, MEP, civil, landscape, and other consultants. Review applicable building code, accessibility, life safety, and zoning requirements. Assist with permit responses, plan revisions, RFIs, submittals, and construction administration tasks. Support project managers and firm leadership in maintaining project schedules and deliverables. Participate in coordination meetings with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal team members. Work on a mix of commercial and residential projects, including new construction, additions, interior renovations, and adaptive reuse projects. Help maintain drawing quality, office standards, and project organization.
Experience / Qualifications
Experience in an architectural office preferred. Working knowledge of Revit required; strong Revit skills are a plus. Basic knowledge of AutoCAD and Bluebeam required. Ability to read, prepare, and coordinate architectural construction documents. Familiarity with the Florida Building Code, accessibility requirements, and permitting process is a plus. Ability to manage multiple projects or tasks in a fast-paced office environment. Strong communication and coordination skills. Detail-oriented, organized, and willing to take initiative. Experience with both commercial and residential projects is preferred but not required. Architectural license is a plus but not required. South Florida project experience is a plus. Pay:
$60,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
