Branch Manager Producing Agency Manager - Large Office Reports to: Vice President of Sales Position Overview The Producing Agency Manager will lead the 2 teams through their transition into a combined large office while also serving as one of the agency's top-producing Personal Lines sales professionals. This is a hands-on leadership and production role. The right individual will lead by example, maintain meaningful personal production, develop and maintain strong referral relationships, coach and develop the sales team, and be accountable for the overall sales performance, retention, and day-to-day management of the office. The ideal candidate is an experienced insurance producer and leader who already has an established referral network and can generate business independently while helping other producers improve their performance. Primary Responsibilities Personal Production & Business Development Maintain meaningful personal new-business production and perform as one of the office's leading producers. Generate business through an established network of referral partners and centers of influence. Continue developing new referral relationships within the local community. Maintain an active pipeline and consistently follow up on sales opportunities. Cross-sell existing clients and identify opportunities to increase policies per customer. Demonstrate the sales behaviors, activity, follow-up, and accountability expected from the rest of the team. Referral Network & Community Involvement Must bring an existing network of active referral relationships, particularly mortgage brokers, lenders, Realtors, financial professionals, and other centers of influence capable of generating consistent Personal Lines opportunities. Must have demonstrated success generating business through referral relationships rather than relying primarily on agency-provided leads. BNI participation is a requirement. The individual should either currently participate in a productive BNI chapter or be willing and available to join an appropriate BNI group. Actively participate in networking and referral-partner meetings and represent Bay Road within the local business community. Continue expanding the agency's referral network in addition to maintaining existing relationships. Team Leadership & Sales Management Initially manage the Fulton and Marlins teams during the transition and ultimately lead the combined large office. Implement and reinforce Bay Road's established sales performance standards. Conduct regular team meetings, individual check-ins, and producer coaching. Monitor producer performance against established production and activity expectations. Coach producers on prospecting, quoting, follow-up, closing, cross-selling, and referral development. Identify performance issues early and develop clear plans for improvement. Coordinate with Sales Leadership and HR when formal performance management is necessary. Monitor employee attendance, reliability, adherence to established schedules, and overall compliance with workplace expectations. Recognize individual employee strengths and working styles and manage accordingly. Build a positive, competitive, accountable sales culture. Agency Performance Monitor overall office new-business production and sales activity. Monitor key sales metrics including new-business premium, policies written, quotes, outbound activity, close ratios, and policies per customer. Monitor retention, renewal activity, pending cancellations, and cross-sell opportunities. Help identify trends affecting agency growth and profitability and recommend appropriate action. Participate in weekly performance reviews and monthly business reviews. Ensure employees understand both their individual expectations and the overall goals of the office. Operational Leadership Ensure established agency workflows and processes are consistently followed. Become highly proficient in Applied Epic and ensure consistent utilization, documentation, and workflow compliance across the team. Oversee effective utilization of VAs and other support resources. Work closely with Sales Leadership, Operations, Finance, and HR to resolve issues and maintain accountability. Integrate 2 teams into a consistent operating structure as the offices are combined. Identify workflow or process problems and bring solutions and recommendations to leadership. Ensure responsibilities are appropriately delegated rather than personally performing work that should be handled by administrative or operational resources. Required Experience & Qualifications Proven track record as a high-performing Personal Lines insurance producer. Demonstrated ability to consistently generate new business. Existing network of active referral partners and centers of influence. Demonstrated success generating business through mortgage brokers, lenders, Realtors, financial professionals, or similar referral sources. Willingness and availability to actively participate in BNI. Previous experience managing, coaching, or developing insurance sales professionals. Strong knowledge of Personal Lines insurance products, underwriting, quoting, carrier placement, and sales. Ability to balance meaningful personal production with management responsibilities. Strong understanding of retention, renewals, cross-selling, and overall book management. Florida 2-20 insurance license strongly preferred. Commercial Lines knowledge is a plus. Applied Epic experience strongly preferred. Comfortable working with comparative raters, carrier portals, agency management systems, and performance reporting. Strong organizational, communication, and follow-through skills. Development of a strong, accountable, sales-oriented culture within the agency. What This Role Is Not This position should not become primarily an administrative or back-office role. While the Producing Agency Manager is responsible for ensuring that important processes are completed, routine administrative responsibilities such as manual commission calculations, commission statement retrieval, deposits, check writing, password administration, and similar clerical functions should be handled by the appropriate Finance, Operations, or administrative resources whenever possible.
