Position Description:
About Us For more than 68 years, The Airoom Companies has been a leader in luxury residential design-build, creating exceptional custom homes, major renovations, and estate properties. By integrating architecture, interior design, estimating, procurement, and construction management under one roof, we provide clients with a seamless experience from concept through completion. We are seeking an experienced licensed architect for its architectural division in Lincolnwood and/or Hinsdale. Responsibilities
  • Licensed architect with construction experience in single family residential projects, including high end remodeling and renovations.
  • Candidate must be capable of producing and directing production drawings for a residential design build team.
  • The position requires the ability to keep up with a fast paced environment with attention to detail.
  • 10+ years of field experience preferred with an understanding of residential framing, EMP's and construction detailing.
  • Must be able to detail and/or direct framing details to junior staff members.
  • Experienced in permit submittals and receipts in Chicago and surrounding municipalities.
  • Ability to design, draw and interact with clients and municipal officials when needed.
  • Ability to manage other junior architects and drafts people to a schedule and time lines.
  • Strong communication skills for client interaction and field personal.
  • AutoCAD and Excel are required. Experience with Chief Architect is a plus
  • Collaborate closely with internal design, construction, and client teams to ensure design feasibility and alignment with project goals.
  • Maintain organized documentation and update plans according to feedback and construction requirements.
  • Manage several projects simultaneously and meet deadlines under pressure. Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelors or Masters in Architecture from an accredited university.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in residential construction
  • AutoCAD proficient
  • State of Illinois, or equal, architect's license
  • Chicago Self Certification a plus
  • Experience with MS Office products, Word, Excel and Outlook a must.
  • Availability to work flexible hours to accommodate the fast-paced nature .
  • Attention to detail.
