Architect

Project Architect We're seeking an experienced Project Architect to lead inspiring higher‑education, public, and select cultural projects from concept through construction. This role offers hands‑on leadership, close collaboration with firm principals, and direct client engagement—all within a highly creative, design‑driven studio. What You'll Do Lead design and delivery across all project phases Collaborate closely with principals, clients, and consultants Guide project teams on academic, public, and cultural work (campus buildings, libraries, student centers, museums, and more) Oversee construction documents, detailing, and coordination Participate in construction administration and site visits Mentor junior staff and contribute to a strong studio design culture What You Bring Professional degree in Architecture and 8+ years of experience Experience with higher‑education, academic, or public projects Licensed Architect (or actively pursuing licensure) Strong design sensibility paired with solid technical expertise Proficiency in Revit (AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Adobe CC a plus) Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset Why Join Us Design‑focused, open studio with direct access to leadership Flat structure with real project ownership—not siloed roles Collaborative, energetic culture with strong mentorship In‑office work with flexible hours and healthy work‑life boundaries Opportunity to grow into a leadership role while shaping meaningful, community‑impact projects Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New York, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $120000.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
