Sacramento, CA We are seeking a skilled Project Architect to join our Sacramento office, bringing expertise across Advanced Technology, Industrial, Retail, and Commercial/Workplace sectors. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping our presence in the region. We are especially interested in candidates with professional connections and experience in the Sacramento, CA area or have a strong ability to integrate themselves into the design, construction, and development community of the region. The person in this role will lead projects, striving to integrate design in a collaborative multi-disciplinary environment, and be able to work on a wide variety of project types. Focused experience on specific project types mentioned is good and the adaptability to work on the many project types will be key.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead architectural design efforts from initial concept through to the completion of construction, ensuring design intent and alignment with project goals. Coordinate multidisciplinary systems, including structural, mechanical, electrical, and specialized infrastructure, to ensure seamless integration within architectural solutions. Collaborate multidiscipline teams formed with in-house and consultants on a wide range of project types and complexity. Plan and design complex facilities that support specialized operations, such as manufacturing, logistics, research, and innovation hubs, with a focus on functionality and adaptability. Manage a team to design engaging environments to meet client goals for public-facing spaces such as retail and commercial/workplace, emphasizing brand identity and user experience, balancing aesthetics, performance, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
10 to 20 years of architectural experience; specific or various project types. Architectural license is required Strong technical coordination skills, especially with MEP and process systems. Proficiency in Revit and BIM workflows. Demonstrated ability to work independently on projects thru design development, construction documents, and contract administration phases. Experience with advanced tech, fast-track, or engineering-led projects is a plus. InDesign and Deltek Vantagepoint experience are both a plus.
Salary Range:
$93,000 to $131,000 At Mackenzie, we work a hybrid office schedule; all staff work in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with an option to work from home on Mondays and Fridays. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
