Job Title:
Project Architect Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Project Architect to join our team, specializing in data center and mission‑critical facilities. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with multidisciplinary design teams, clients, and contractors across the country to deliver high‑performance architectural solutions for complex, technically demanding environments. Key Responsibilities Apply advanced technical design expertise, design management practices, and digital tools specific to data center and mission‑critical projects. Lead owner and client meetings, facilitate internal coordination sessions, and participate in code compliance reviews with authorities having jurisdiction. Manage and execute all phases of architectural design, including the preparation of detailed construction documents. Review architectural drawings to identify potential clashes with other disciplines and coordinate timely resolutions. Conduct quality assurance and quality control reviews, including cross‑disciplinary technical evaluations. Develop, write, and edit architectural specifications. Coordinate and support responses to addenda, RFIs, CPRs, and change orders. Incorporate approved revisions into project documentation. Provide construction observation and contract administration support, as required. Participate in and lead on‑site work sessions with clients, project managers, and discipline leads. Perform additional duties as needed to support successful project delivery and overall team objectives. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field. Minimum of five (5) years of professional architectural experience. Licensed Registered Architect (RA). Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Project. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities. Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit and associated workflows. Proven experience producing and organizing architectural construction documents and specifications. Solid understanding of building codes and effective planning practices. Preferred Skills & Credentials Prior experience designing and documenting data centers or mission‑critical facilities. Strong graphic and presentation skills; Bluebeam proficiency preferred. LEED accreditation or demonstrated interest in sustainable design practices. U.S. citizenship with the ability to pass a governmental background check. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Charlotte, NC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $45.67 - $64.90/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
